Ronny Bjones

Ronny Bjones is an accomplished engineer and director with extensive experience in cloud identity, privacy services, and confidential computing. Currently serving as an Engineer at Microsoft Azure Incubation since February 2021, Ronny oversees Confidential Computing projects, which focus on creating tamper-resistant environments for software execution. As Director of Cloud Identity & Privacy Services at Microsoft Corporate since September 2002, Ronny is responsible for building identity and privacy capabilities in Microsoft's cloud offerings. Additionally, Ronny represents Microsoft on the boards of the Trust in Digital Life association and EEMA. Previous roles include Director of R&D at Utimaco Belgium, where Ronny contributed to security product development, and Developer and Project Manager at Cryptech, focusing on cryptographic algorithms for banking and government projects. Educational qualifications include a Master in IT Management from Hasselt University, an MSc in Information Technology from The Open University, and a bachelor's in Electronics.
