Amy Smith is the Vice President of Global Regulatory Affairs at MicroVention. Amy has over fifteen years of experience in the medical device industry, with a focus on regulatory affairs and product approvals. Amy has held senior positions at Johnson & Johnson, Advanced Sterilization Products, and LifeScan.

Amy Smith began their career in the medical device industry in 2002 as a Senior Regulatory Specialist at B. Braun Medical. Amy then moved to LifeScan in 2009, where they served as Worldwide Director of Regulatory Affairs from 2013 to 2015. In their current role at MicroVention, they are responsible for driving global regulatory affairs and product approval across multiple companies.

Amy Smith is a member of the global management board for all companies engaged in strategic planning and management of development and execution across all businesses. Amy has also managed teams of up to 50 regulatory affairs professionals.

Amy Smith has a MS in Applied Biomedicine from The Johns Hopkins University and a BSE in Biomedical Engineering from Mercer University. Amy also went to LSMSA.

Amy Smith works with Colin Kavanagh - EVP, Global Operations, Jacques Dion - Chief Medical Officer, and Kristin Machacek Leary - Chief People Officer. Amy Smith reports to Carsten Schroeder, President & CEO.
