Desirée Barrientos

Desirée obtained her degree on Biomedical and Clinical Laboratory as IES Isla de Deva awarded with honors. She has received the Extraordinary Award from the regional Government of Asturias for her excellent grades.

Over her professional experience, she has developed extensive knowledge and skills on microbiology and molecular biology, including working with strict anaerobic bacteria, identification and characterization of probiotics, isolation and purification of human microbiota, the use of fermenters and flow cytometry skills. Desirée joined Microviable Therapeutics in 2018 as a research assistant to advance laboratory workload.
