Joshua K. has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Joshua started their career as a Fiber Optic Specialist at Microwave Photonic Systems, Inc. from 1999 to 2002, where they played a role in manufacturing and testing optical components, managing production, and ensuring quality control.

Joshua then joined NAVAIR in 2002 and held multiple roles within the organization. From 2002 to 2006, Joshua worked as part of the PMA-275 V-22 Osprey Integrated Test Team, where they reviewed maintenance action forms, evaluated design tradeoffs, and monitored vendor programs.

From 2006 to 2008, they were the program team lead for the Reliability, Maintainability and Integrated Vehicle Health Management (RM&I) Integrated Product Team (IPT) at the PMA-261 CH-53K Heavy Lift Helicopter Program Office. In this role, Joshua was responsible for directing team members and ensuring the program's success.

Since 2008, Joshua has been working as the Director of Government Programs and Special Projects at Microwave Photonic Systems, Inc. Joshua identifies opportunities for innovative designs and advanced technology deployment in the Defense communications architecture. Joshua manages the development of specifications, requirements decomposition, and execution of contractual elements once an opportunity develops into a joint relationship. Joshua also directs revenue and personnel resources to support research and product development.

Joshua K. completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. Joshua then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science degree in Reliability Engineering from the University of Maryland, where they studied from 2007 to 2011.
