Jo Ann Mattson is an experienced professional in the field of educational technology and instructional design, currently serving as the Learning Management System Administrator & eLearning Specialist at Mid-America Transplant since April 2024. Prior to this role, Jo Ann held the position of Director of eLearning at Fontbonne University from July 2013 to March 2024 and worked as an Instructional Designer at Missouri State University from December 2010 to June 2013. Since 1974, Mid-America Transplant has served as the regional organ and tissue procurement organization for eastern Missouri, southern Illinois, and northeast Arkansas, serving 4.7 million people in 84 counties. From our founding goal to assist in the coordination of kidney donations, we have grown to become a multi-faceted organization dedicated to saving lives and enhancing the quality of all donated organs and tissues currently available for transplant. Located in Saint Louis, Missouri, Mid-America is one of 56 federally designated organizations of its kind in the United States. Mid-America Transplant's primary service offering is to facilitate and coordinate the organ and tissue donation process. With a mission to save lives through excellence in organ and tissue donation, we have been at the forefront of enhancing the quality of organs and tissue for transplant and a leader in eye bank services.
