Sam Ho

Sam Ho has a diverse work experience in the field of organ transplantation and laboratory management. They have held various roles, including Laboratory Director at NJ Sharing Network, Laboratory Director at Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network, Laboratory Medical Director at Mid-America Transplant and Center for Organ Recovery and Education, and Consulting Transplant Laboratory Director at Memorial Medical Center. Sam has also held multiple positions at Gift of Life Michigan, including Chief Laboratory Officer and Laboratory Director. In addition, they have served as an Associate Professor of Medicine (Adjunct) at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and as an Assistant Professor of Pathology (Adjunct) at the University of Michigan Medical School. Sam's work experience also includes a role as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Michigan Medical School.

Sam Ho obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry from Baylor University between 1997 and 1999. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Biomedical Studies (Immunology) from Baylor University from 2000 to 2003. Later, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Studies (Immunology) from Baylor University between 2000 and 2006. Sam Ho also holds various certifications, including a Bioanalytical Laboratory Director License from the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners obtained in March 2023, a Clinical Laboratory Director License from the State of Florida Department of Health obtained in June 2022, a Laboratory Director Certificate of Qualification from the New York State Department of Health obtained in October 2013, a Histocompatibility Laboratory Director certification from the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI) obtained in January 2013, and a Diplomate status from the American College of Histocompatibility & Immunogenetics obtained in September 2011.
