Scott Smythe has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Scott started their career as a College Intern Program at the United States Marshals Service from August 2012 to May 2014. Later, they worked as a Litigation Practice Extern at Muskogee County District Attorney from May 2015 to August 2015. In 2016, they became a Licensed Legal Intern at Angela Ailles and Associates, serving as an In-House Claim Litigation Counsel for State Farm. In this role, they handled various civil litigation cases, including auto negligence and premises liability. In 2017, Scott joined Mid-Continent Group as a Staff Attorney, responsible for construction defect litigation and complex insurance coverage litigation. Scott was then promoted to Corporate, Coverage, & Litigation Counsel, drafting insurance forms and policies. Currently, Scott holds the position of Assistant Vice President & Counsel, overseeing legal affairs, providing business advice, and championing complex litigation at Mid-Continent Group.

Scott Smythe obtained their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Corporate Law and Litigation from Oklahoma City University School of Law. Scott completed their education in this field from 2014 to 2017. Additionally, they obtained certification as a Licensed to Practice Law in the State of Oklahoma from the Oklahoma Bar Association in September 2017.
