Shannon Cleary

VP of Institutional Advancement at MID-PACIFIC INSTITUTE

Shannon Cleary currently serves as the Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Mid-Pacific since September 2020 and has been a Commissioner for the State Public Charter School Commission from July 2018 to June 2024, appointed by the Hawaii State Board of Education to support the students of Hawaii. Previous roles include Director of Advancement at La Scuola International School, where Shannon implemented a holistic approach to development operations in response to COVID-19, and Director of Institutional Advancement at Le Jardin Academy, focusing on restructuring advancement departments. Shannon's expertise in advancement also includes a role at Hawaii Technology Academy and significant fundraising achievements at La Jolla Country Day School. Earlier experiences include teaching Japanese at Maui Preparatory Academy and a career in sales and marketing within the hospitality industry. Shannon holds a B.A. in International Relations/Japanese Studies from Ursinus College and a certificate in Japanese Studies from Tohoku Gakuin University.
