Walt Nickels

Walt Nickels, RN, BSN, CCRN, CPTC, currently serves as the Administrator On Call at Mid-South Transplant Foundation, Inc. since September 2022. From May 2012 to July 2022, Walt held the position of Director of Clinical Services at ARORA, overseeing daily operations in Tissue Recovery and Organ Recovery while managing the EMR system. Previous roles include President of NATCO from August 2014 to August 2016, Manager of Organ Procurement at ARORA from May 2008 to May 2012, and Organ Procurement Coordinator at ARORA from June 2002 to March 2006. Walt's early career includes experience as a Registered Nurse in the Surgical/Trauma ICU at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences from June 1996 to May 2002. Walt earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences from 1990 to 1994 and attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock from 1990 to 1992.
