Don Wilder

Director - Engineering Services at Samaritan Health Services

Don Wilder has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Don started their career as the Owner/Contractor of Wilder Construction, where they worked from 2001 to 2011. During this time, they gained expertise in construction and project management. In 2004, they also took on the role of Facilities Manager at the Oregon Coast Aquarium until 2009.

In 2011, Don joined Salem Health as the Manager of Facilities Operations, where they were responsible for overseeing various departments and committees related to facilities maintenance, environmental services, food and nutrition services, volunteer services, emergency management, safety, and environment of care. Don also temporarily served as the Laboratory Manager for six months in 2018. Don worked at Salem Health until November 2022.

Following their time at Salem Health, Don joined JLL as a Project Manager for HP Inc. in December 2022. Don worked on managing projects until October 2023.

In 2023, Don is set to start a new role as the Director of Engineering Services at Samaritan Health Services.

Don Wilder attended the University of South Florida from 2003 to 2004, where they studied biology, botany, chemistry, environmental science, and writing. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in biology, botany, geology, chemistry, environmental science, writing, and art from Santa Fe College from 2000 to 2003. Additionally, Don studied various subjects such as emergency medical technician I, art/graphic design, creative writing, and computer applications at Linn-Benton Community College. Don also holds certifications including EPA Universal HVAC, FEMA Seismic Inspection, ICS 100, 200, 700, & 800, and PADI Open Water Diver.
