Austin Eidem

Austin Eidem is a Senior Engineer II and Corrosion Specialist at MidAmerican Energy Company since July 2019, where responsibilities include ensuring compliance of steel gas pipeline systems and overseeing Des Moines engineering interns. Previously, Austin served as the Lead for Gas Distribution Engineering, managing projects and compliance within the gas distribution department, and as a Gas Distribution Engineer II, focusing on the design and implementation of gas facilities. Additional roles include leading the General Services Cost Team to enhance efficiency and cost savings. Earlier experience includes positions as a Chemical Engineering Lab Teaching Assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a Research and Development Intern at Vishay Intertechnology, and a Facility Planning Intern at Northern Natural Gas. Austin holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
