Eric Merchant

Eric Merchant has worked in a variety of roles since 1991. Eric began their career as a Counselor at Hutton House Runaway Shelter and Memorial Hospitals Association. In 1991, they moved to Thunder Road Adolescent Treatment Center, where they worked as a Continuing Care & Outreach Lead Counselor until 1996. From 1996 to 1998, they worked as a Prevention Programs Advocate at the Stanislaus County Office of Education. Eric then moved to Stanislaus County, where they worked as a Child Welfare and Attendance Supervisor until 2002. From 2002 to 2007, they worked as a School Counselor/School Administrator at Valley High Charter School. Eric then moved to NWEA, where they worked as an Account Manager and Senior Account Manager until 2019. Most recently, Eric worked as a Director of Sales Operations at MIDAS Education.

Eric Merchant received their Bachelor of Arts in Education and Sociology from California State University, Stanislaus in 1996. Eric then attended the University of Nevada, Reno from 1989 to 1991. In 2002, they obtained their Pupil Personnel Services Credential from the State of California. Eric then went back to California State University, Stanislaus to receive their M.A. in Counseling & Education in 2006.
