Wes Freed

Wes Freed has a strong background in engineering and sales, with extensive experience in the energy industry. Wes most recently worked as the Director of Engineering at MidCentral Energy, where they assumed the role in 2024. Prior to that, Wes worked at Schaeffler as a Sales Engineer from 2021 to 2024, and as an Application Engineer in the oil and gas sector from 2021 to 2022. Before joining Schaeffler, they held the role of Director of Engineering at BEST Pump and Flow from 2020 to 2021, and served as an Engineering Manager in the pump division from 2019 to 2020. Wes also worked at Forum Energy Technologies as an Engineering Manager in the pump division from 2015 to 2019. Their early career started at Weir SPM, where they held positions as a Project Engineer from 2010 to 2015 and as a Manufacturing Engineer from 2008 to 2010, contributing to product enhancement, new product line development, and process improvement.

From 2005 to 2008, Wes Freed studied at Texas A&M University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology.
