Husam Kakish

Husam Kakish has over 25 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on the hospitality industry. Husam is currently working at Midcontinent as the Vice President of Human Resources. Prior to this, they held various leadership positions at MGM Resorts International, including Head of Human Resources at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino and Vice President of Human Resources at Excalibur Hotel & Casino. Husam also worked as the Vice President of Human Resources for Millennium Hotels & Resorts in the Middle East & Africa region. Before that, they served as the Regional Director of Human Resources for InterContinental Hotels Group in the same region. Kakish began their career at MGM Resorts International as the Director of Human Resources & Administration for MGM Hospitality and later as the Executive Director of Human Resources for Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. Husam also held the role of Director of Employee & Labor Relations at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. Prior to joining MGM, they worked as the Corporate Director of Human Resources at Emeril's Homebase. Overall, Kakish has extensive experience in human resources and has held various leadership roles in the hospitality industry.

Husam Kakish obtained a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from UNLV Lee Business School in 2007. Husam also earned a BS in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management from Kansas State University in the years 1989 to 1993. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including "Communicating Internally during Times of Uncertainty" and "Leading Change" in 2020, as well as "Leading with Emotional Intelligence" and "Managing in a Matrixed Organization" in 2019.
