Dr. Ammar Awad

Football Analyst at Middle East Broadcasting Center

Dr. Ammar Awad has a diverse work experience in the field of football. Dr. Ammar started their career as a football player at Hutteen Club in 1984 and played until 1998. Dr. Ammar then transitioned to coaching and worked as a football coach at Premier Soccer Academy from 1998 to 2002. During the same period, they also served as the Head Soccer Coach at Concordia University from 1999 to 2002. In 2003, Dr. Awad worked as a football coach at Hamilton Thunder. Dr. Ammar then moved on to Al Wahda Sports Club in 2004, where they worked as a football coach until 2008. In 2009, they joined Al Dhafra Sports Club as the Head Coach of the Reserve Team. Dr. Awad later served as the Sport Director at Al Wasl Sports Club from 2011 to 2013. Since 2013, they have been working as a Football Analyst at the Middle East Broadcasting Center. In 2015, Dr. Awad joined Al Wahda Sports Club again, this time as a Football Coach.

Dr. Ammar Awad completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Dentistry from the University of Tishreen, where they studied from 1985 to 1992. Dr. Ammar later pursued a Graduate Diploma in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management from Concordia University, attending from 2000 to 2002. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications such as the AFC Football A License from AFC in January 2010 and the Soccer Advanced National Coaching Diploma from NSCAA in June 1999.
