Michael Magdy

Michael Magdy, CPA has a diverse work experience in the finance and accounting field. Michael started their career at Deloitte, where they worked in the Auditing Department and Corporate Finance Department, gaining experience in financial statement preparation, auditing, and credit analysis. Michael then moved on to The American University in Cairo, where they served as a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, handling investments and analyzing mutual funds.

Magdy then transitioned to EY as a Senior Auditor, where they further honed their auditing skills and led a team of associates. After that, they joined British American Tobacco as a General Ledgers Manager, Area Corporate Finance Manager, and later as Manager Compliance, where they managed financial accounting functions, prepared management reports, and ensured compliance with internal controls.

Michael then joined Philip Morris International, initially as a Financial Accounting & Payroll Manager, overseeing daily accounting operations and managing payroll activities. Michael later served as a Manager of Finance and Administration for Egypt & Levant, handling financial accounting, treasury activities, and various tax transactions. Eventually, they became a Financial Controlling Manager and Cluster Head, leading a team and overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for 18+ countries in the region.

Magdy then joined Coca Cola HBC as an SC Finance Director, responsible for the supply chain finance function, managing a significant CAPEX and end-to-end supply chain costs for multiple factories and distribution trucks.

Currently, they are working as a Commercial Finance Manager at MBC Group in Dubai/Riyadh.

Michael Magdy, CPA has a diverse education history. Michael obtained their CPA certification from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, where they studied Finance and Accounting from 2010 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Helwan University Cairo from 2000 to 2004. Michael completed their high school education at Kawmia Language School, graduating with a Sanawya Amaa degree, which is a High School/Secondary Certificate program, from 1989 to 2000.

In addition to their educational achievements, Michael has also obtained several certifications. Michael received the Lean Six Sigma Foundations, Process Improvement Foundations, and Six Sigma Foundations certifications from LinkedIn in July 2017. Michael also obtained their CPA certification from the AICPA in October 2014.
