Mohamed Hamdy has extensive work experience in social media strategy, optimization, and management. Mohamed started their career in 2006 as a Call Center Representative at Vodafone and later became a Senior Representative in the blended call center. In 2008, they became the Founder of Vodafone Egypt's social media channels, where they created and managed their Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Google+ accounts. From 2013 to 2014, Mohamed served as a Digital & Social Media Senior Specialist at Vodafone, overseeing the measurement of social media performance, setting KPIs, analyzing post impact, managing the budget and external resources, and providing comprehensive reports. Mohamed then moved on to become a Digital Marketing Senior Analyst, responsible for reporting and measuring Vodafone's online team functions and KPIs. In 2015, they became a Social Media Team Leader and later a Senior Team Leader. Most recently, in 2022, Mohamed joined MBC Group as a Social Media Strategy & Optimization Manager.
Mohamed Hamdy obtained a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the Faculty of Commerce/ English Section in 2006. Mohamed then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Maastricht School of Management from 2019 to 2021. Prior to their formal education, Mohamed attended the Mohamadia Language School, however, no specific degree or field of study was mentioned for this period. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including "Ecommerce Fundamentals" and "Social Media Marketing: Strategy and Optimization" from LinkedIn in December 2022, and a "Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing" from the Digital Marketing Institute in December 2015.
