Mohammad Alrashdan

Mohammad Alrashdan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in finance and accounting. Mohammad is currently working at MBC GROUP as a Finance Manager, a position they started in December 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Finance Supervisor at the same company from November 2020 to December 2022.

From 2017 to 2020, Mohammad worked at Munich Re (Group) in different capacities. Mohammad began as a Senior Accountant at Munich Re Underwriting Agents, where they gained expertise in Oracle Fusion modules and UAE VAT filing process. Mohammad then took on the role of Tax and Accounting Lead, responsible for managing the tax and accounting profiles across multiple countries in the MENA region.

Before joining Munich Re, Mohammad worked as a General Accountant at KWEC | Al Khawajah Engineering Consultants from 2014 to 2017. In this position, they handled general finance functions and day-to-day accounting activities, enforced accounting standards, and conducted financial planning and reporting. Mohammad also collaborated with the technical team for feasibility studies and financial proposals.

From 2013 to 2014, Mohammad worked as an Accounts Assistant (temporary 1-year contract) at Seadrill, where they gained experience in budgeting, bank reconciliations, payroll accounting, and audit preparation.

At the start of their career, Mohammad completed an internship at the Revenue Development Department of the UAE Ministry of Finance as part of their graduation requirements at UAE University. During this internship, they were involved in various activities such as creating reports, assisting in audits, and conducting budget analysis for the federal government.

Mohammad Alrashdan earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from United Arab Emirates University, attending from 2008 to 2013. Mohammad has also obtained several additional certifications, including being an Approved Tax Agent from the UAE Federal Tax Authority, certified through PwC and att Exam in March 2019. In September 2015, they completed the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) 1&2 Training provided by PwC's Academy Middle East. Alrashdan also holds an Advanced Professional Diploma in IA: Internal Auditing, FE: Fraud Examination, RM: Risk Management & IC: Internal Control. This diploma was earned through the initiative "Taallak" by Open Thinking Institute & IMA in January 2014. Additionally, they completed the Seadrill Fight Against Corruption - Onshore program through Seadrill Careers in January 2014.
