Dr. Brad Case, PhD, CFA, CAIA, has extensive experience in the field of economics. Brad is currently serving as the Chief Economist & Director of Research at Middleburg Communities since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Economics at Fannie Mae from January 2019 to February 2020. Before joining Fannie Mae, Dr. Case held the position of Senior Vice President, Research & Industry Information at Nareit from August 2006 to January 2019. Brad started their career as an Economist at the Federal Reserve Board in April 2000 and remained with them until August 2006.

Brad Case, PhD, CFA, CAIA earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Economics from Yale University from 1994 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Public Policy (M.P.P.) degree from the University of California, Berkeley from 1987 to 1989. Brad completed their undergraduate studies at Williams College from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Economy. In addition to their educational qualifications, Brad Case also holds certifications as a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the respective institutions, CAIA Association and CFA Institute.
