Michael Roy

Michael Roy is an experienced leader in library and information services, currently serving as Dean of the Library at Middlebury College, where responsibilities include overseeing a team of librarians and academic technologists. Michael also holds the position of Dean of Library and Information Services & Chief Information Officer, managing over 80 IT and library staff across multiple educational programs. Additionally, Michael is an active Board Member of the Climate Economy Action Network and serves on the Town of Middlebury Energy Committee, focusing on communications. As a columnist for the Addison Independent's Climate Matters, Michael contributes regularly to discussions on climate issues. Previous roles include Vice President for Library and Information Services at Kenyon College and Director of Academic Computing Services at Wesleyan University. Michael holds a Master's degree in English Language and Literature from Duke University and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Dartmouth College.
