Deborah Kermode

Deborah Kermode is an experienced arts professional currently serving as Chief Executive & Artistic Director at Midlands Arts Centre since August 2016. Prior to this role, Kermode was Deputy Director at Ikon Gallery from September 2011 to July 2016 and held the position of Director at Bright Space (UK) Ltd from May 2009 to September 2011. Additionally, Kermode worked as Participation Manager at Birmingham Opera Company and as Producer for Fierce Festival during the years 2006 to 2008. Kermode holds a Masters in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester and a BA Hons in Art History and Cultural Studies from the University of Leeds, where Kermode also completed a Bachelor of Arts.
