Steven Gilbert

Steve Gilbert currently serves as Vice Chairman, MidOcean Private Equity Executive Board. Steve has been an active investor and advisor with over 40 years’ experience in private equity investing, investment banking and law. Prior to joining the firm, Steve served as Chairman of Sun Group (USA) and Gilbert Global Equity Partners, LP, a $1 billion private equity firm. Other notable highlights from Steve’s career include his role as founder and Managing General Partner of Soros Capital, L.P., the venture capital and leveraged transaction entity of the Quantum Funds Group, and a principal advisor to Quantum Industrial Holdings, Ltd.
