Meredith Manning

Meredith Manning is a Senior Planner at the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District, responsible for overseeing planning activities and capital project management for 63,000 acres of protected public open space in the Santa Cruz Mountains. With extensive experience in public access and natural resource management, Meredith has led multi-disciplinary teams on significant projects, supervised a Planning Department, and managed all aspects of complex restoration and access initiatives. Prior roles include Ecosystem Restoration Hydrologist at the U.S. Forest Service, where large-scale restoration plans for degraded ecosystems were developed, and Watershed Restoration Geologist at Redwood National and State Parks, focusing on watershed assessments and erosion control. Educational qualifications include a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Planning & Interpretation from Humboldt State University.
