James Kirby

James Kirby is an experienced ironworker with a diverse background spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Journeyman Ironworker at the Chicago Transit Authority since July 2018, James also holds the position of Safety, Detail Foreman at Midwest Steel, Inc., contributing to projects such as the Northwestern University Indoor Practice Field. As the Owner/Operator of City Dawgs since September 2012, James demonstrates entrepreneurial skills alongside technical expertise. James's career began at Local 1 Ironworker in August 2001, providing significant experience in the field, along with a brief tenure as a Journeyman at Platinum Steel in April 2018. James is pursuing an Associate of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Collins College, which has been ongoing since 1996.
