Bekim Ramku

Expert, Mies Award at Fundació Mies van der Rohe

Bekim Ramku is a prominent architect and urban planner with extensive experience in various leadership roles. As a Founding Member of Future Architecture since March 2015, Bekim has contributed to the largest pan-European architecture initiative. In tandem, Bekim serves as a Nominator and Regional Coordinator for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture since September 2014. Additionally, Bekim is the Founder and Director of the Kosovo Architecture Foundation and has held multiple directorial roles, including at DoCoMoMo Kosovo and OUD+Architects. An International Advisor to the Global Designing Cities Initiative, Bekim also has experience as a consultant for the World Bank, focusing on urban planning and architecture. Educational achievements include a Research Fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master’s degree in Housing & Urbanism from the Architectural Association.
