Jessen Liang has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. In 2016, they worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer Co-op at RAMP Inc., where they contributed to large projects and gained experience in designing safety enclosures and working on autonomous systems. In 2017, they served as a Teaching Assistant for the University of Waterloo Engineering Endowment Foundation. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as a Control Surfaces Designer at UW Sailbot and as a Mechanical Design Engineer Co-op at Linamar Corporation. In 2018, they worked as a Hardware Engineer Co-op at the University of Waterloo WAVE Lab and as an Exoskeleton Mechanical Designer at Trexo Robotics. Jessen Liang completed their high school education at Sir Winston Churchill High School from 2012 to 2015, obtaining a High School diploma. They then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering at the University of Waterloo from 2015 to 2020. In addition to their formal education, Jessen Liang is a member of Ten Thousand Coffees and has obtained the certification of Ten Thousand Coffees Member in October 2020. They are also a Certified SolidWorks Professional, having received the certification from Dassault Systèmes, although the exact date of certification is not specified.
