Susan Fratzke is a Senior Policy Analyst at the Migration Policy Institute, where since June 2012, research has focused on national- and EU-level policies regarding asylum, immigration, and integration. Previously, Susan held roles as a Policy Analyst and Program Coordinator, and an Associate Policy Analyst and Program Coordinator, coordinating essential meetings for the Transatlantic Council on Migration and contributing to numerous background reports and policy briefs. Prior experience includes serving as a Program Assistant at the U.S. Department of State and as a Research Assistant at Freedom House, where country reports on human rights were drafted. As a Literacy Volunteer Coordinator with AmeriCorps, a volunteer tutor program for adult refugees was established. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in German and European Studies and a certificate in Refugees and Humanitarian Emergencies from Georgetown University, along with a Bachelor's degree from Iowa State University.
