Laney King is currently a volunteer at Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio and has been involved with The Ohio State University as a Yoga Group Fitness Instructor, conducting inclusive sessions for diverse skill levels. In addition, Laney serves as Chief Compliance Officer at Vocalize Columbus, overseeing compliance for the organization that connects medical interpreters with clinics. Previous roles include being an Outreach Committee Member for TEDxOhioStateUniversity, an intern for Congresswoman Emilia Sykes in the U.S. House of Representatives, and an intern in the Turning Point Drug Court Program at the Summit County Court of Common Pleas. Laney has also gained experience in the service industry as a waitress at Mike's Place. Currently pursuing a degree at The Ohio State University, Laney graduated from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in 2022.
