Pedro Ferraz

Pedro Ferraz is an Applied Research Scientist at Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute since January 2024, contributing to high-impact machine learning projects with a collaborative team approach. Previously, Pedro served as an Applied Machine Learning Research Intern at Mila and as a Data Scientist at Lamps Co, where a time series automatic forecasting web-app was developed to optimize energy management for leading Brazilian energy companies. Additionally, Pedro worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at GALGOS, creating machine learning models that improved efficiency for Petrobras, and as an iOS Developer at Apple Developer Academy | PUC-Rio, leading the development of innovative apps. Educational qualifications include a Master of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.
