Adam Cowan

Adam Cowan is a Special Counsel at Milbank LLP in Washington DC since August 2025, specializing in project development and finance, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions across the power, oil and gas, renewables, transport, and infrastructure sectors. Prior to this role, Adam served as Managing Director and Deputy General Counsel at New Fortress Energy from March 2021 to August 2025, and as Vice President and Senior Development Counsel. Adam also practiced as Counsel at Sidley Austin LLP from May 2018 to March 2021, and held various positions at Linklaters from October 2004 to April 2018, including Managing Associate, Associate, and Trainee. Adam's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages and Literatures from the University of Bristol (1998-2002) and legal training at BPP Law School (2002-2004).
