Pamela Harris has a diverse range of work experience in the early childhood education sector. Pamela started their career at Clayton Early Learning in 1990, where they held various roles including Head Start Director and Co-Director. In 2002, they joined the City and County of Denver as the Head Start Director in the Mayor's Office for Education and Children. Pamela then moved on to become the Chief Operating Officer at the Denver Preschool Program in 2007. In 2009, they became the President & CEO of Mile High Early Learning. Additionally, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty at the University of Colorado's Buell Early Childhood Leadership Program from 2013 to 2019.

Pamela Harris has a diverse education history. Pamela earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational Leadership from Union Institute & University. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, focusing on Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology, at the University of Oregon. Pamela also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Organizational Development from The Evergreen State College. Furthermore, Pamela has obtained a certificate in Business Administration and Management, with a general focus, from UCLA Anderson School of Management in 2004.
