Matthew Zingg has a range of experience in education and customer service roles. Their current position as a Special Education ELA Teacher at Milestones Day School and Transition Services involves creating curriculum units, assigning homework, and differentiating instruction. In the past, Matthew has worked as a Center Instructor at Sylvan Learning Centers, a Student Teacher at Northampton High School, and in various roles at different establishments like Amherst Brewing Company and UMass Amherst Dining Commons. Matthew graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in English/Language Arts Teacher Education.

Mission: Milestones cultivates the potential of every student and young adult by recognizing their strengths, unique needs, and learning differences. Our goal is to ensure that each individual reaches their highest level of success by connecting them to new learning opportunities that help achieve greater independence, foster self-confidence, and create meaningful relationships at school and beyond. Milestones is an approved and accredited private school (Chapter 766) offering a unique and intensive year-round academic and therapeutic programming in a state of the art building. Our students, age 5-22, are highly supported by a full clinical and academic staff working on multidisciplinary team of Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Principals, Mentor Teachers, Reading and Math Specialists, and Directors. We have a low student to staff ratio and our population consists primarily of students with diagnoses on the Autism Spectrum, Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder, and Anxiety Disorders. We provide education at the elementary, middle, high school, and post high school level.
