Kevin Bucek

Kevin Bucek has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as Chief Information Officer and Webmaster at the Military Order of the Purple Heart of the U.S.A., Inc. Kevin has also worked as an Unexploded Ordnance Disposal Technician (UXO Tech II) on various government contracts under the US Army Corps of Engineers from 2018 to 2021. Additionally, they held the role of UXO Tech II at Aerotek, SRS (Sustainment and Restoration Services), MuniRem Environmental LLC, EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc., PBC, and USA Environmental, Inc. In their earlier career, Kevin served as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal personnel in the US Army from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they worked as a Firefighter at the Crystal Falls Fire Department and as a Construction Worker at Bucek Construction Inc.

Kevin Bucek began their education journey in 2003 at Forest Park High School, where they obtained their high school diploma in 2007. Following that, they enrolled at Lake Superior State University in 2007 and studied fire science and firefighting until 2008. Kevin then attended Bay de Noc Community College from 2008 to 2009, focusing on general studies.

In 2009, Kevin pursued a specialized course at the Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal, completing the Basic EOD Course in explosive ordinance and bomb disposal. Continuing their education, they enrolled in American Military University in 2019 and earned an Associate of Arts in Business Administration between 2019 and 2021.

Kevin expanded their knowledge in the field of computer technology by attending American Military University in 2022, where they obtained an Associate of Science in Computer Technology. This was followed by their enrollment in Southern New Hampshire University in 2023, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, specializing in that field of study until 2024.

Alongside their formal education, Kevin also obtained several certifications. Notably, they became certified as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate and an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner through Amazon Web Services in 2022. In 2021, they completed the Google Analytics for Beginners course provided by Google Analytics Academy. Furthermore, they obtained certifications such as Customer Service Foundations, Flood Cleanup Awareness Training, OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER, CDL Class A, Chemical Preparedness for Healthcare Providers, and Explosive Ordnance Disposal at various points in their career.
