Robert Nelson

Robert Nelson has extensive experience in military support and education. Currently serving as Senior Vice Commander for the Military Order of the Purple Heart of the U.S.A., Inc. since June 2017, Robert actively supports veterans and their families. Previously, Robert held the position of Junior Vice Commander for the Dept of Georgia, Military Order of The Purple Heart since May 2015 and served as Chapter Commander for Chapter #465 from May 2010 to May 2015. Robert's background includes a distinguished military career as a Sergeant Major in the US Army from February 1969 to August 1993 and retired as a JROTC teacher at Fulton County Schools from 1994 to 2009. Robert holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration and Management from Troy University in Montgomery, completed between 1977 and 1982.
