Mathieu Veulemans has a diverse work experience spanning different fields and roles. Mathieu started their career as a Lawyer at the law firm Roland & Grévy & Lecomte in 2005 and later worked as a Lawyer at the law firm Tossens & Associates from 2007 to 2008. In 2008, they established their own law firm, Law firm Mathieu Veulemans, where they worked as a Lawyer until 2010.

In 2006, Mathieu Veulemans also worked as a Teacher at IFAPME. Mathieu further gained administrative experience as an Administrative Assistant at FDF (Front Démocratique des Francophones) from 2006 to 2007.

Moving into the public sector, Mathieu Veulemans joined the European Consumer Centre in Norway as Director from 2010 to 2011. Mathieu then joined the Norwegian Building Authority in 2011, initially serving as the Acting Deputy Director General from 2012 to 2013. During this time, Mathieu also worked as the Project Coordinator for the Build Up Skills Project from 2012 to 2013. Mathieu later took on the role of Senior Legal Adviser from 2011 to 2016 at the Norwegian Building Authority.

From 2014 to 2016, Mathieu Veulemans was appointed as the Chairperson of the European Administrative Cooperation Group for market surveillance authorities for construction products, supported by the European Commission.

Lastly, Mathieu Veulemans joined the Norwegian Environment Agency in 2017 as the Head of Section.

Mathieu Veulemans has a comprehensive education history, with degrees and certifications in various fields. In 1996, they obtained a Certificate in Advanced English from Loughborough College. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor's in Law at the University of Brussels from 1997 to 2002, specializing in Business Law. In 2002, they earned a Master's degree in European Law from Institut d'études européennes. Moving forward, in 2009 and 2010, Mathieu attended the University of Oslo (UiO) to receive recognition of their Belgian qualifications in Norwegian Law. Transitioning to coaching, they completed the Fundamentals program at the Co-active Training Institute in 2022, followed by the Intermediate program in 2023, both of which focused on coaching techniques. Mathieu also had an educational experience at Uccle 1, though no specific details are available.
