Waquar Ahmad

Waquar Ahmad has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources and operations. Waquar has held various roles at different companies, starting with their current position as Head of Center of Excellence & HRBP at Milkbasket, where they lead teams in business HR, performance management, talent management, and HR operations. Prior to this, they worked as an HRBP at Udaan.com, where they built a regional HR structure and implemented an HR tech platform for frontline associates. Waquar also served as an HR & Operations Lead at an early-stage design startup, where they established organizational policies and processes and implemented OKR frameworks. Before that, they worked as a Human Resource Leadership Associate at Aditya Birla Group, where they focused on learning engagement and restructuring the L&D program management. Waquar also gained fieldwork experience at organizations such as SAP, British Petroleum, Tata Global Beverages, and Shapoorji Pallonji as a trainee during their coursework at TISS. Waquar also had internship experiences at Amazon and HCL Technologies.

Waquar Ahmad has an educational background in both Human Resources Management and Personnel Administration, as well as Production Technology. Waquar obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, where they studied from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed a B.FTech degree in Production Technology from the National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi, where they studied from 2009 to 2013.

In addition to their degrees, Ahmad has also acquired two additional certifications. In February 2021, they obtained the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM. Furthermore, in April 2014, they completed the Gamification: Introductory Course on Coursera, offered by the University of Pennsylvania.
