Benjamin Scharff, P.E. has over a decade of experience in the energy industry. Benjamin started their career as an Engineering Intern at Progress Energy in 2008 and later served as a Balance of Plant Mechanical Systems Engineer at Duke Energy Corporation from 2011 to 2017. Benjamin then went on to work as Capital Design Mechanical Engineer and Maintenance Rule Coordinator at Duke Energy Corporation from 2017 to 2018. From 2019 to 2021, Scharff worked as a Solar Engineer at Advanced Energy. Benjamin is currently set to join Mill Creek Renewables in October 2022 as a Project Engineer.

Benjamin Scharff, P.E. earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2008, after attending there from 2006 to 2008. Benjamin then furthered their education by obtaining another Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University in 2011, which completed their formal education.
