Rebeca Martinez

Rebeca Martinez is an accomplished education professional with extensive experience in leadership and program development. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Education at the Millennium Challenge Corporation since January 2024, Rebeca previously held various roles at USAID, including Senior Education Advisor and Reading and Instructional Program Advisor, from November 2017 to December 2023. In earlier positions, Rebeca was the Academic Director at The DREAM Project DR, where effective management led to significant literacy improvements for over 6,000 students, and developed local educational initiatives. Other experience includes instructional supervision at Children's Arts and Science Workshops, classroom teaching at Denver Public Schools with notable gains in student reading proficiency, and service as a TEFL Volunteer with the United States Peace Corps. Rebeca holds a B.A. in English Writing and French from DePauw University and an M.A. in International Educational Development from Teachers College, Columbia University.
