STEM Guide And Founding Faculty at Millennium School

Lindsay Berk, NBCT, serves as a STEM Guide and Founding Faculty member at Millennium School since July 2016, following a role as Science Teacher and Department Chair at Highline Public Schools from August 2012 to July 2016. Throughout a diverse teaching career, Lindsay has focused on inquiry-based and project-based learning, collaborating with teaching partners and researchers to develop engaging science curricula for various student populations. Previous experience includes instructing outdoor education and service learning at Lakeside School, team-teaching interdisciplinary classes at Seattle Public Schools, and utilizing inquiry-based methods as a math tutor and science teacher candidate. An earlier career involved roles in environmental sciences, including GIS Analyst at the U.S. Forest Service and Field Scientist at the U.S. Geological Survey. Lindsay holds a Master's degree in Science Teacher Education from the University of Washington, a Master's in Geography from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Bachelor's in Environmental Studies from UCLA.
