Joel Bryant has worked for a variety of organizations since 1999. Joel began their career as a Volunteer for the Center for Multicultural Human Services in 2003 and then became an Executive Assistant for the Office of the General Counsel at the Peace Corps in 1999. From 2006 to 2012, they worked at the Greater Boston Food Bank in various roles, including Assistant Manager of Member Services, Site Monitor, and Volunteer Assistant. In 2012, they became a Student Law Clerk at the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Project. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Student Associate at the Federal Appellate Litigation Clinic at the University of Michigan Law School and a Summer Associate at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP. In 2014 and 2015, they were an Attorney and Counselor at Law at Miller Canfield. In 2016, they were a Law Clerk at the U.S. Court of Appeals. Since 2017, they have been an Attorney and Counselor at Law at Miller Canfield.
Joel Bryant completed their Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School between 2012 and 2014. Prior to that, they obtained an MSc in NGO Management from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) between 2004 and 2005. Joel began their educational journey with a BA in International Affairs from The George Washington University between 1995 and 1999.
