Laura Carr has extensive work experience in HR, starting with their role as an Acting Human Resources Officer at Leeds Metropolitan University in 2007. Laura then worked as a Human Resources Assistant and later as an HR Operations Officer at the university. In 2012, they joined Hallmark Cards as an HR Advisor and later became a Senior HR Business Partner, providing business partnering and engagement services to various departments. In 2017, they joined Morrisons as a Senior HR Business Partner, responsible for partnering with senior leadership to devise and deliver a People Plan, while also managing HR teams and ensuring legal compliance. Currently, Laura is the Head of HR - North at Miller Homes Ltd.
Laura Carr's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology & Immunology from the University of Leeds, which they completed between 2003 and 2006. Laura then pursued a degree in Human Resource Management, obtaining a CIPD qualification from Leeds Beckett University from 2008 to 2010. Later, they pursued an Associate's Degree in Executive Coaching & Mentoring from ILM and completed it between 2014 and 2015.
