Chris Herrschaft

Chris Herrschaft began their work experience in 2001 as a Network Administrator II for the Mount Sinai School District, a role they held until 2006. In 2006, they joined the Miller Place School District and started as a Business Teacher. Chris later served as the Dean of Students at Miller Place High School and then as an Assistant Principal at NCR Middle School. From 2019 to 2022, Chris was the Principal of Laddie A Decker Sound Beach School. Currently, they are the Director of Human Resources for the Miller Place School District. Additionally, since 2010, Chris has been involved with Long Island Professional Soccer, working as a Boys Soccer Trainer.

Chris Herrschaft received a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Computer Information Systems from Bryant University in the years 1997 to 2001. Following this, from 2003 to 2005, they pursued a Master's degree in Business Teacher Education at Dowling College. In 2014 to 2015, Chris attended Niagara University Graduate School, obtaining a Masters in Educational Leadership, specializing in the School District Leader and School Building Leader Program.

Additionally, in July 2016, Chris obtained certifications in School Building Leader and School District Leader from Niagara University.
