Motomi Kobayashi has a diverse work experience in the field of interior design. Starting as an intern at Sara Bengur Interiors in 2010, they then went on to work as a Design Assistant at SieMatic Möbelwerke USA from 2012 to 2013. In 2014, they transitioned to a Sales Design Associate role at the same company before becoming a Sales & Design Coordinator in 2015. In 2016, they joined id3A as an Interior Designer, responsible for executing medium and large scale commercial spaces. They then moved on to Steelcase in 2018, working as a Designer and Application Specialist, where they developed design solutions and supported space analysis initiatives. Currently, Motomi works as a Sales & Design Associate at MillerKnoll, starting in 2023.
Motomi Kobayashi received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Interior Design from Drexel University, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Prior to attending Drexel University, Motomi Kobayashi briefly studied Interior Design at the New York School of Interior Design in 2009. In addition to their education, Motomi Kobayashi obtained NCIDQ Certification from the Council for Interior Design Qualification (CIDQ) in October 2022.
