Mykayla Thompson

Mykayla Thompson has a diverse work experience in interior design. Mykayla started their career as a freelance interior designer in 2014, where they provided their services until 2021. During this time, they had the opportunity to work on various projects and showcase their design skills. In 2015, Mykayla joined Grooms Office Environment as an interior designer and worked closely with the design team and the end user to guide the design process from start to finish. Mykayla also collaborated with architects and project managers in programming and concept development. In 2020, Mykayla became an adjunct instructor at Bowling Green State University, teaching a course on building materials and finishes for interiors. Currently, they are working as a project designer at MillerKnoll, where they have been since June 2021.

Mykayla Thompson pursued a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Interior Design from The Art Institutes between 2012 and 2014. Mykayla later continued their education at Radford University from 2018 to 2022, where they obtained a Master of Fine Arts degree specializing in Design Thinking.
