Tim Shinkle

Tim Shinkle has worked in the information management services industry since 1996. Tim began their career as the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Development at TrueArc, where they patented the use of natural language processing for the auto-classification of electronic records. In 2001, they became the Director of the Government Global Information Group and Records Management Industry Director at EMC, where they directed the development, marketing and sales of repeatable Documentum ECM e-Government global solutions. From 2004 to 2008, they were the President and Managing Consultant at Perpetual Logic, providing content and records management software solutions. Tim then joined Gimmal as Senior Director in 2013 and Vice President in 2015, where they provided Information Governance (IG) services, including strategy, planning, architectural design and implementation of mid to large scale content and records management solutions. Most recently, they worked as Information Governance at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, where they developed a strategy for automating IG/RM following a cost, risk, benefit approach for SEC 17a and other regulatory compliance needs.

Tim Shinkle received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Mathematics from Carleton University in 1990. Tim also obtained a Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in October 2020.
