Charles Hart Pharm.D, CPHIMS possesses extensive experience in health informatics and pharmacy practice. Currently serving as the Chairman of the HIMSS Committee since January 2024, Charles leads initiatives to advance interoperability in the HealthIT sector and is an active member of the HIMSS Interoperability Committee. In addition to roles at Milliman IntelliScript as a Senior Clinical Informatics Consultant and Pharmacy Informatics Consultant, Charles previously held the position of Advocacy Chair for the Greater Illinois Chapter of HIMSS. Also, Charles has worked as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford, focusing on pharmacy informatics. Charles’s prior experience includes significant roles at Mercyhealth Hospital, where responsibilities spanned clinical informatics coordination and critical care pharmacy, along with earlier work as a Clinical Staff Pharmacist at OSF HealthCare. Charles earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and completed undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
