George Bey

George Bey is the Associate Dean of International Education and Professor of Anthropology at Millsaps College, where a tenure began in August 1990. Bey holds the Chisholm Foundation Chair in Arts and Sciences and has previously served as the Associate Dean of Sciences and Acting Chair of several departments, including Sociology/Anthropology, Modern Languages, Mathematics, and Physics. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Anthropology from Tulane University, obtained between 1978 and 1986, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Anthropology and English from The University of New Mexico, earned from 1973 to 1978.
