Vera Westphal

Vera Westphal has extensive work experience in the field of administration, finance, and operations. Vera started their career at the Milwaukee County Department of Administration in 1990 as a Fiscal and Management Analyst 3. After working there for 15 years, they joined the Milwaukee County Zoo in 2005 as the Deputy Zoo Director, overseeing administrative, financial, and operational aspects of the organization. In March 2021, they took on the role of Interim Zoo Director, leading the zoo until July 2021.

Vera Westphal obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and Communications from Concordia University-Wisconsin from 1990 to 1992.
