Kristine Thomsen has a diverse work experience in museums and event management. Kristine started their career as a Customer Service Representative at Best Buy in 2002 and later moved on to roles such as Exhibit Intern at Putnam Museum in 2011. Kristine then transitioned to the University of Iowa where they held various positions, including Docent, TA, and Coordinator at Pentacrest Museums. Kristine then worked at The Field Museum as an Account Manager and later as an Operations Manager for Special Events. Currently, they are the Events Director at the Milwaukee Public Museum, a role they have held since 2019.

Kristine Thomsen earned a BA in History and Museum Studies from the University of Iowa in 2008. Kristine later obtained a Master of Arts in Museum Studies from Western Illinois University in 2012.
