Steve Watkins

Steve Watkins has a long and varied work experience in the IT field. Steve began their career in 1996 as a System Administrator for United Benefit Managed Care, where they were responsible for server administration of Windows and Citrix servers and SCO Unix administration. In 1997, they worked as a Technician (contract) for GTE Internetworking. The following year, they began working for Lockheed Martin as a System Administrator, where they were responsible for domain administration for the company's VPC, server setup and administration, and desktop support.

In 2005, Steve Watkins ventured into business ownership and opened Panther City Coffee Co., Fort Worth's first artisan coffee house and roaster. Steve managed all phases of the business from conception and build-out to opening and day to day operations, as well as created the company website and e-commerce site for online sales. In 2010, they worked as a Freelance Journalist for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

In 2014, they began working as a Systems Administrator/IT Manager for S&S Machine, where they revised the company's entire IT system, including replacing all workstations and setting up and administering Active Directory. In 2015, they took on the role of Social Media Manager for Hutson and Harris Attorneys and Counselors, where they managed the company's Facebook, web page, YouTube, Twitter, and Google + accounts, provided photography and videography services to create web content, and created a successful viral marketing campaign for the firm.

In 2018, Steve Watkins was hired as an IT Systems Manager for Fore Machine, LLC, where they created the company's first in-house IT department from the ground up, providing better stability for users and ensuring customer data was secured. Steve updated the servers and nearly all workstations, and created a SAN and hybrid backup system. Currently, they are working as an IT Manager for Milyli Inc., where they are tasked with bringing IT security up to industry standards and implementing infrastructure changes.

Steve Watkins attended Tarrant County College, where they studied Computer Programming.
